    Description of Topic

    Designing a Culture of Engagement

Human capital is every organization’s greatest asset. Leaders are increasingly asking their people to think big, be creative and innovate. This requires high levels of employee engagement.

However, leaders are faced with the harsh reality that 70% of their workforce isn’t fully engaged and 26% is actually actively disengaged. The culture created can make the difference between success and failure.

We are going to look at employee engagement through the lens of the workspace, as we believe leaders must learn to intentionally leverage both culture and space to positively shape employee engagement.

    Key Objectives

Understand the financial impact of having employees that are not fully engaged or actively disengaged to the organization.

Understand that companies are moving move away from these solo task work strategies and moving towards more engaging spaces to increase employee engagement and the trends that are driving this change: Shifting Demographics, War for Talent and Mandate to Innovate.

Understand the relationship between culture and space and why leaders must intentionally focus on both as they each shape how people think, behave and interact with each other.

Identify what engaged employees expect from the culture and space of their organization. (Example: Engaged employees expect to work for an organization with a strong sense of purpose. Smart companies are leveraging their physical workspace to make that purpose visible to their staff and visitors.)
